Lets get Physical

I hear all too often from friends, family and acquaintances that they wish they had time to exercise. They wish they had the opportunity to pursue personal fitness goals. They have started or tried to start but their interest levels wavered, their motivation dropped and other things got in the way. I think this simply highlights that exercising and being active is not high on their priority list. That is perfectly OK. I'm not here to judge! You have to be true to yourself and accept your decisions for what what they are and not be pressured to pursue fitness goals if you...

“You don’t measure the success of your life from one thing in the end, you measure the success by each of the small victories in your life” - Chris Hadfield Only 3 weeks out from NYC marathon and the realisation that I am going to achieve my goal is setting in. Since last Christmas I have been living, breathing and thinking about this marathon and now it is so close. As I near closer to leaving for the States and my last week of high training approaches, I have started to reflect a lot more on how far I have...

Week 18 - Mum Loves to Run NYC - Be part of something bigger

"Be part of something bigger than yourself" - unknown. If there is one thing that gets challenging as we get older, its meeting and making new friends. And its finding friends who share the same interests and have the same values as us. Finding time for activities we love doing can be a challenge also but when are part of a wider community, it helps you make time. The running community is one community that can help you make new friends, motivate you and give that sense of belonging to something bigger than yourself. I recently saw a post on...
